Glen Line – Port Said Straits – China & Japan
|Dimensions:||63 x 102 cm|
|Published by:||Glen Line Ltd.|
|Printed by:||Truscotts London|
A valuable original from the 1920s in really nice condition. There are some minor tears in the sides, and a few folds on the poster, which will not be a problem when the poster comes in a frame.
The poster shows a camel and some Bedouins, in contrast to the colossal ship sailing through the Suez Canal, close to some small, local boats.
Ship posters are some of the most valuable vintage posters. Glen Line was a British shipping company founded in Glasgow in 1867. The head office was later first moved to London and then to Liverpool. Glen Line was sold to Blue Funnel Line in 1935.
This is an original vintage poster. It is not a reproduction. At the time of writing you will not find this poster for sale elsewhere on the internet and it is unlikely that it will ever be put up for sale in such good condition again.
The frame is not included in the price, but we recommend that you buy a specially made frame with museum glass, which optimally protects against UV radiation, and thus preserves this unique poster and its value.
