Rare, Swedish art deco poster from 1937 by Ake Rittmark for the Swedish American Line, which promoted voyages with the ship Gripholm to Rio, New York and the Caribbean from January to March 1937. The Swedish shipping company started with routes between Gothenburg and North America. Traveling to Rio at this time was an exclusive experience reserved only for very wealthy Swedes who also had the time for the long journey by ship.

The poster has minimal folds, a little patina and a relatively insignificant tear in the top left corner. This is a very rare poster and it will probably never show up in such good condition again. We have seen a single copy with French text before. We have not seen this version with the Swedish text for the Swedish people before.

Frame is not included in the price. See our large selection of exclusive frames that can be made precisely to the poster.
