There is a large damage in the top right corner, as can be seen in the pictures. There are also folds, tears and a general condition that we can not rate higher than 4 out of 10. However, wear and tear has its charm, and can be repaired if you want to invest in this old, valuable poster.

Train posters are by far the most valuable vintage posters. This historic train poster dates from 1938 and promotes the famous Gornergrat Bahn. Gornergrat is an iconic ridge in the Swiss Alps. The Gornergrat Bahn was the world’s first fully electrified gear brain train. Today, it is a modern, environmentally friendly railway, and Europe’s tallest external cogwheel brain railway. The railway brings passengers directly from Zermatt Station (1620 m) to the top of Gornergrat (3136 m).

This is an original vintage poster. It is not a reproduction. At the time of writing you will not find this poster for sale elsewhere on the internet.

The frame is not included in the price, but we recommend that you buy a specially made frame with museum glass, which optimally protects against UV radiation, and thus preserves this unique poster and its value.
