The poster is over 100 years old, but still in excellent condition. There are a few scratches etc but it only gives the poster charm and it is unlikely that this poster will ever be put up for sale in the same condition again. The colors are really sharp!
Train posters are by far the most valuable vintage posters. This beautiful poster from 1907 was made by Anton Reckziegel at the beginning of winter tourism. This beautiful lithograph shows the Rigi cogwheel in the middle of a picturesque winter landscape with the mountain peaks Rigi-Rotstock, Rigi-First and Rigi-Kulm and Dossen in the background. The glossy area in the lower left corner makes room for the winter plan for the Rigibahn, meaning the poster has never been taken into use by the Rigi-Bahn, explaining the excellent condition. This is an elegant work from the golden age of 20th century Swiss poster art.
This is an original vintage poster. It is not a reproduction. At the time of writing you will not find this poster for sale elsewhere on the internet.
The frame is not included in the price, but we recommend that you buy a specially made frame with museum glass, which optimally protects against UV radiation, and thus preserves this unique poster and its value.
